On our way to Nishiki Market.
Nishiki Market – full of open foods on display. Perishable, wet or dry, a lot of it in huge barrels, which is dangerous for me since I really like to fondle food (much like Amelie in Amelie). I can’t resist mixing up nuts, Brachs candies and poking fish eyeballs through the cellophane. I resisted doing stuff like that here which was good since most of the food here was either pickled or parts of fish.
samples and squishables
these are for sale and out in the open! There weren’t any flies though. I don’t think there are flies in Japan.
Who is protecting the produce from fondling?
