For New Years Eve, I took a virtually last minute trip to NEW ORLEANS. Couldn’t pass up the chance to actually go to NO for New Years Eve and also take part in what was surely a record for the number of Asians in New Orleans at the same time. There was also a football game…

After navigating 3 time zones and 1 delayed horrible flight (won’t mention the full name of the carrier but its initials are ATA). I arrived with my party at the party on Bourbon Street. A few drinks in the hospitality party suite and we were ready to check it out. Here are some photos from NYE. More posts later hopefully.
Some guy with a visor.
That guy in the visor and the only person from Hawaii in a purple shirt.

A fan at Johnny White’s with some cool beads.

Streets below start getting crowded. Can you find: A cowboy, a train hobo, 2 guys with the same jacket, a drunk person?

a really blurry photo of the crowded ass street.

The rival balcony. No free drinks there though.

Everybody loves free stuff thrown at them!

More free leis! I only have 5 of them!

Nearing midnight it gets really crowded.

And here is Midnight. Who knows if the countdown was accurate?
More to come…
You may want to check out:

“Asians?” You write like you are a Haole or a Katonk and for a Haole or Katonk audience.
Doesn’t a half-yobo born on a white military base count as Katonk?
Sorry, brah!
I need to get one of those purple party shirts.
Let me guess – Donn convinced some drunk LSU girl to give her purple top to him in exchange for his Island Movers polo shirt. That’s it, right? Right?
