So I have been lying dormant on this website for a long time waiting until no once actually is reading to start posting again. Since I have been gone, a lot of important things have happened in the world and in our country. The Simpsons got their own stamp, Octomom, free chicken at KFC: stuff like that. Star Trek was also released.
So here are random thoughts about Star Trek which I actually really liked but still more of a Star Wars person and yeah there are spoilers:
Yay, Kirk had sex with a green alien!
It must be an Epic movie since one of the sure signs of an epic movie is a lot of different climates. Ice Planet, Iowa farm, Vulcan fluorescent lights.

Chekov’s accent. What does Chekov do exactly?
In Russia you don't navigate starship, starship navigates you. wokka wokka wokka!
Those Vulcan punks that tormented Baby Spock were really dicks for being part of an emotionless logical race.

Why are the ships so damn big? What’s on the other parts of the ship? There must be a whole floor that’s a fitness center or something. Isn’t it a liability to have something so big with two big long things sticking out of it that could easily get snagged on some asteroids?
Have they not learned from Titanic and the Death Star?
The alternate universe angle was a clever and it made the Spock cameo fell like it wasn’t a contrived cameo.
What could have happened.
Thank God I had little idea what Tyler Perry looked like. It would have ruined it for me.

In the future Winona Ryder has been exiled to the Planet Vulcan where there are no department stores for her to shoplift from.

The lighting and color scheme of the whole movie was soft and bright. Going back to the time travel/alternate universe theory, in one of those realities, the Enterprise crew was probably the cast of an Old Navy Commercial wearing color coded Performance Fleece.

Pretty exciting movie! Made me think of Star Wars.
