Even though the Yen was at an all time high (which meant the exchange rate was crap) there is fun to be had in the humongous dept. stores browsings and getting your mind blown.

This floor sold shoes. just shoes. mostly black shoes. and the floor is about the size of a supermarket.
Each of these department stores is multilevel with most floors specializing in one type of merchandise. The bottom floor or basement usually has FOOD.

Who needs Health Department mandated heat lamps? (not a rip on this food. I would put this in my pocket and eat it 5 hours later)

Not sure how you would take this fish home. I hope it is a huge gift box with roses. (human adult hand inserted for scale, and yes it is over $500)

I am not a pastry type of guy, but these made me feel all tingly. (You in the middle! Stop staring at me!)

That box in the middle top row is around $170. You don't even get the fake version. This is like Blockbuster with the empty boxes.
